This review is from: Empire Level 77-1006 Barricade CAUTION DO NOT ENTER Tape, Yellow with Black Ink, 1000-Feet by 3-Inch (Tools & Home Improvement)
These days it's the deep pocket rule. Sure you may have passed by the sign that said steep cliffs ahead - caution no railing. And you may have turned around with your back to the raging sea below while your friend got the perfect shot. And as he motions you to move back a little more, your alaska vacation turns into a trip to the trauma room, MRI scans, CT scans, and wonder of all wonders you are still alive but paralized from the neck down.

What do you do? Sue the owner of the cliff for not putting in rails! As they say in "breaking bad" the TV series on AMC , "Better call Saul" (the ambulance chasing attorney with his complete kit of neck braces for depositions)

And that's where this tape comes in. With 1000 feet on a roll you can mark off a square 250 foot hole in the ground with one wrap - that's 62,500 sq ft of coverage!

This is thin and simple tape. You tie it to the nearest tree, bannister, anything outside the caution area then unspool it with the words facing the oncomming onlookers. For long runs put an easel/sawhorse in between to keep the tape pointed right in the wind outside. When you get to the other end it can be tied to a car antenna, streetlamp, just about any vertical object that will be there for the duration.

And that's called protecting yourself against a liability lawsuit. You can now show that you had taken the measures to mark off the area as a hazard with bright yellow tape that said "DO NOT ENTER" on it. In court you win.

Going after the deep pockets has become the american way of life (look at mcdonalds' coffee). If you don't protect yourself someone will "fall" in and you will be liable for their evacuation ($2000), hospital admission ($4000), diagnostic scans MRI, CT (10,000 - 40,000), and any lifesaving surgery (100,000) plus any lifetime medical equipment ($25,000) and of course the usual pain, suffering, loss of work - a person making 80K/yr over 20 years looses out on 1.6 MILLION dollars in income.

So either mark off your dangerous area or have really good liability insurance - your choice.

The second use for this tape is keeping a crowd out of an area. I bought it for a wedding that is upcomming - I have 2 cameras on tripods that I don't want people monkeying around with the RF sound and IR camera system, so they are in the corner of the chapel which will be wrapped in this tape - instant secluded area.

With all the uses, and all the deep pockets, this is a valuable tool that is dirt cheap, amazon prime, and ready to ship in 2 days.

BUY SOME for the car after an accident and keep in your roadside emergency kit - I also keep an 18" traffic cone which with some adhesive tape I can bond this material too.
