I bought this game for mac because I am a huge fan of Rome TW and Shogun TW. The game works flawlessly so I can't complain about that. I like this game, but I must admit that I don't like it as much as Rome TW or Shogun TW. Maybe I just need to spend more time getting used to it, but so far, I just don't enjoy the real-time battles as much as the Rome or Shogun battles. I like the ship battles even less. That being said, I do still enjoy the game a lot, just not quite as much as I thought I would.

What is there to say? It's a Total War game. Solid gameplay, an updated interface, and almost endless ways of changing up the way you play. I downloaded this about three months ago, and am still playing through all the options. Would highly recommend.

This game was vary fun to play, at one point I found myself playing it for up to seven hour in a row! I thought the campaign was vary fun, if you wanted to you could conquer the would. The Campaign gave you access to the eastern part of North America, The Northern part of south America, Europe, North Africa, the middle east, and the sub content of India. I only found a handful of things that where bad about the campaign. One being that in the begging your "adviser" tells you that European countries will make there way to India within the first few years of the campaign. They don't, they don't even bother make any political contact with the empires of India. Another thing being that the losing side in a war will not except a reasonable officer for peace. One time I had concurred almost all the regions of my enemy and was in a long siege on there capital and I decided to see what would happen if I offered peace to my enemy, I would give them back two regions, and give them 5000 dollars. They rejected the offer and said, "Rarely has are Nation been so humiliated, we reject your offer without hesitation." Besides that the single and multiplayer battles where great and vary realistic. There where varies maps to chose from so I never got bored playing one map.

I'm just going to come out and say it: This game is boring.

Unfortunately, the designers have NOT been able to make the AI intelligent or interactive enough to render this game anything more than a territory grab. The AI hardly wants to trade, broker interesting deals, and the like. I found it very difficult to continue against such soulless adversaries.

The map is eye-popping. But hard to navigate. I couldn't easily discern between territories. Plus, many of my units hid way too well for me to manage them. I kept losing track of my spies and gentlemen so often that I effectively gave up on them.

Religion is almost a non-factor in this game. I wasn't all that worried about enemy priests as the penalty for another religion in a territory was so low.

I don't like the economics in this game. Too many choices, too little time for proper development for most territories. You are essentially forced to specialize and develop a small number of prime territories and let the others languish. Not fun for a perfectionist like myself.

All in all, this game missed the mark.

Awesome gameplay with high quality graphics. But you have to sign in to a steam account to play. When you sign in to the steam account you have to have internet access. It takes 27 minutes to install. Because of the high quality. I think it takes two gb of ram. Overall great game!!!!!!!!!

The game itself is a great continuation of the total war series. However, they didn't do a great job of reformatting the game for the mac. I have had a good number of crashes during the CPU turns. Because of these reoccurring crashes, I have had to completely scrap campaigns that I had put a great deal of time into. I'd recommend skipping this game and getting the classic Rome: Total War instead if you plan on playing on a mac.
