Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

How can reengineering be suggested to a corporation or business or institution when its leaders--and the rest of its employees--haven't reengineered themselves? Motivational speaker-consultant-psychologist Waitley turns his attention to the leader that is in all of us, defining and analyzing the 14 qualities that need to be expressed if goals are to be realized. Each section includes success plans, action tips, exercises, reminders, and paradoxical proverbs, all drawn from his as well as other peoples' experiences. His spoken-style prose is slightly disjointed at times, but his words will at least prompt individuals to start the rethinking process. Barbara Jacobs

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best self-help book available., March 21, 1999
By A Customer
Denis Waitley is a joy to read, and this book, as others he wrote before, is a "how to" dialogue on how to succeed in life. His brown paperbag experiment in his bathroom had me laughing for three days straight. His advice on parenting are simple eye-opening truths which we shall all apply daily. I find his books a delightful balance between the straight and narrow Dale Carnegie notions, and the Anthony Robbins or Bob Proctor "super-achiever you-are-what-you-think avoid pain and gain pleasure" type of success philosophy. All four authors are excellent and complement each other but Waitley is probably the most reader-friendly, and has plenty of humour to lighten the text. For all readers of success, self-help and motivational books, this one should be on top of your list.

This book is an update version of Denis Waitleys power techniques. They worked for athletes and astronauts as well as business people and they will work for you as well.

If you have purchased other Denis Waitley books, never fear, this one is new and different. Worth a read. Great stuff.
