Imagine your favorite Arabian night...,
This review is from: Empires of the Shining Sea (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons/Forgotten Realms) [BOX SET] (Paperback)
This boxed set couldn't be any better. Detailed history, complex relationships between other lands and the Empires, and amazing hooks for adventures and other lands spring forth from every page. There is only one reason not to purchase Empires: you have no dreams of living an Arabian night. For the rest of us, though, there really isn't anything that comes closer to bringing the Middle East mysteries closer to our adventurers than Empires of the Shining Sea.

A great primer to Calimshan,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Empires of the Shining Sea (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons/Forgotten Realms) [BOX SET] (Paperback)
Calimshan in the Forgotten Realms (known from the Icewind Dale Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore, and introduced to AD&D in module FR3 - Empires of the Sands) received detailed treatment in this beautiful box set.
Long out-of-print, this set is a trickster on the used market. A complete box set contains the 144-page book plus 2 poster maps of the region. (See my uploaded photo). Sellers here on Amazon often have only the book, so pay attention to the seller comments when ordering to avoid unhappy surprises. |
