Soul Empowerment is intended by its authors to be a do-it-yourself manual for healing, based on a doctrine of consciousness expansion, intuition of soul qualities, aura cleansing, releasing entities, and the integration of past lives. Presenting many brief examples of successful and unsuccessful cases from the therapeutic practices of Deer Heart and Bradford, the book claims to guide the reader through the processes of accessing one's soul and other entities in order to identify with one's essence nature. A typical presented case is Charles, an automobile salesman in his mid-forties, who had trouble feeling and expressing his emotions. We discovered that in other lifetimes he was a valiant warrior who had killed scores of enemies in battle. Other readers may consider Soul Empowerment to be a standard book in depth therapy and integration techniques dressed up in New Age pop psychology. The most unconvincing feature of the book is it claims that the range of techniques is simple. The authors insist a single session is often sufficient for soul integration. The book intentionally but irritatingly shifts between addressing the reader as patient and as healer, with some chapters offering advice concerning how to deal with various types of clients. If soul empowerment therapy purports to psychologically integrate human beings, then this book can only be considered as an advertisement, not as a therapeutic training manual or session. -- From Independent Publisher
