Compilation,
By TlwsTeg (TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Empty Crown, The (Hardcover)
_The Empty Crown_ is a compilation of the trilogy including _Sword of Maiden's Tears_, _Cup of Morning Shadows_, and _Cloak of Night and Daggers_. For further information you can check out the individual titles. Personally, I found the writing uneven, somewhat repetitious, and a bit thin. The plot, the characters, and the themes are worth the read, I just wish the writing had been a bit better.

A great read - hard to put down,
This review is from: Empty Crown, The (Hardcover)
The book is part of the area of fantasy which combines 'real world' and 'fantasy world' and has the two cross-over. I found this book particularly great, because I am a librarian (or rather, information professional), a member of the SCA, and I attend similar conventions described by Edgehill. I found the descriptions of the characters challenges in the real world to be pretty accurate, and thus their experience in the fantasy world that much more appealing.
