Smiling and crying throughout, I was touched.,
By Pat Montgomery (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Empty Nest: one mother's journey (Paperback)
This book touches each mother who is anticipating an empty nest or is experiencing one. Anne gives empathy, encouragement, and hope to the lost feeling that so many mothers have when their roles are changed, almost overnight.
Great book, easy to read, filled with great quotes. Highly recommend it.

Touching the heart and soul,
This review is from: Empty Nest: one mother's journey (Paperback)
Anne's experiences as an "empty nester" touched my heart and soul. Her poetic and heartfelt ability to describe her feelings resonated with much of what I have been experiencing as our children have used the "wings" we gave them. The artwork enhanced the mood of each page and the combination of words and images were profoundly moving. Although written from a mother's perspective, my husband also found it to be an amazing book.
Caution: You may want to keep a box of tissues handy in the beginning. But, you will be celebrating with Anne at the end! This book is a wonderful gift for any empty nesters.

Soon to be there myself,

I was deeply touched by reading Anne's experiences. My daughter will soon be leaving for college, and I could relate to so many of the feelings Anne shares with the reader. The artwork was wonderful. I especially liked reading Taz's explanations regarding each illustration.
