This statue is plastic that looks like granite. I bought this item as a gift and they loved it.

This is a very lovely garden piece that, while made of a synthetic fiber, maintains an authentic appearance and will probably look better over time because of its construction materials. Received on date promised and very well packaged.

This was even better than I expected, It looks like real granite even up close. It is made out of poly, and that makes it even better, it is not heavy and will last forever. It looks great in our garden and have received lost of compliments. Well worth every penny.

Generally very pleased with the statue. The chin is slightly marred and there seems to be less pigment in the nose, but this is perhaps true of the fingers and other detailed areas which can be a bit translucent. In any case, since the statue is viewed from several feet away, it didn't seem noticeable enough to exchange for another. I particularly like the classical design of Our Lady of Grace, and also the fact that you can open the bottom and add gravel to give it some weight. The photo on Amazon looked a bit bluish, so I was happy to find that it was actually a nice light gray, which looks very much like real granite and is less dark. The statue immediately created a feeling of peace when I placed it in a small grotto, like a small version of Lourdes. I had actually been looking for Our Lady of Lourdes, but could not find the right height in an outdoor statue. This worked out very well. I will try to post a photo. God bless.

Prompt delivery. The stopper in the bottom makes pouring in gravel (or what ever else you decide to use to weigh it down)an easy task. Has a natural granite appearance.

I was not sure about this when I bought it since it was plastic. Once I set it up everyone seems to really like it.

The vendor provided timely service and a quality product. The Virgin Mary is beautiful. Although Poly, she withstood Hurricane Irene and the earthquake tremors that hit Maryland without moving an inch. I did not place any rocks around her nor sand inside, however, providing weight is advisable. The bottom line is the Virgin Mary, stood her ground, and I needed that message, I feel her blessings.

I am very pleased with the detail and of this light weight statue. She is simply beautiful. I ordered it as hostess gift and had it sent to their house--I was flying there. I love Amazon Prime, no shipping and easy!

Statue was received flawless.
The resin has the very real looking gray granite appearance.
I looks as if it were carved from stone. No one has even guessed that it wasn't made of stone.
Price was on par with other suppliers, but with Amazon's guarantee and shipping, the price was lower than local.

When my wife told me she really, really wanted this item and wants to buy it I made the mistake of buying it right away without carefully reading the description. When I read the word "granite" (NOT granite-look) I was assuming it was made from granite. I didn't even read the word "Poly" at the beginning of description which basically means "plastic". This is where the cliche "you got what you paid for" or "If it's too good to be true....". Anyway, I threw away all the packing and box and it's a hassle to return it so I'll just have to eat this. This is the first time I had a bad experience buying from Amazon and I'm really disappointed.
