Bacon Wave is Bacon Rack, which is a very poor product which comes with no separate instructions,

Hi, I am very upset, I ordered a replacement for my BaconWave unit which I used for many years with no problems, until I rinsed it in the sink right after using it. It shattered the surface. I read the instructions and it said to let it set 30 minutes before washing. My bad. I ordered a BaconWave on Amazon at a great price, but received a product called BaconRack. It came with no written instructions like the my first BaconWave except a note on the box, 1 minute per slice. Well the first time I used these instructions and the bacon came out overdone, the plastic melted onto the bacon and the BaconRack was warped severely. Upon researching this with the BaconWave written instructions, it had three microwave a cooking time for 4 slices of 2 minutes 20 seconds. No wonder the unit's plastic melted and warped. I would return the unit but it only cost $6.xx and not worth returning. Don't buy this unit, it was substituted with an inferior product and has no viable instructions included.

Wave Microwave Bacon Cooker,

This recent purchase is a replacement for a Wave Bacon cooker I've had for several years. Eventually the little fingers that hold the bacon will snap off. The replacement looks the same HOWEVER this newest "wave" warps. This warping is mentioned in the accompanying paperwork. The warping can have a negative impact if you are cooking multiple slices of bacon and they have a high fat content. Causing the collected fat to run over in the microwave or spill when removing from the microwave.
Great concept, the recent changes are extremely aggravating.

WARNING!!! THIS Product is dangerous!,

My first time using this; i followed the directions. The plastic melted into the bacon and if I had not been paying attention I would have SERIOUSLY burned myself. This product is cheap, unsafe, and frankly I don't know how it is legal to sell an item that is so flawed! Save your money,! I have taken pictures and sent them to the better business bureau.

I have purchased 3 of these for myself and given 1 as a gift. This is by far the best bacon cooker that I have found. The best way to avoid the problems that I have read in the feedback is to set the microwave for 3 minutes and drain the grease from the tray before continueing cooking. I put the bacon every other space for better spacing. I use the bacon grease for cooking my eggs, and anything that needs oil or shortening for cooking on the stovetop. Bacon grease makes home fried potatoes taste WONDERFUL, no salt needed.

Total waste of good hard earned money!,

I purchased this product and used it 1 time and the sticks stuck in the bacon and broke when I tried to pull them out. The bacon was literally in crumbs by the time I got it out and I did spray the whole thing with Pam before starting anything. It would be totally impossible to clean if you get that far. I threw mine in the trash because it was not worth my water bill to try to clean plus the fact that I no longer had the sticks to hold the bacon in place.

Crispy Yet Not Greasy,
This review is from: Bacon Wave
I love this product. It makes the best crispy bacon with little mess; however I will caution you that using think cuts of bacon doesn't work well.

I bought this a few months ago and only had a chance to use it about 3-4 times. I thought it was great, but then I loaded it up one morning and it melted into a mass of stinky plastic and burnt bacon! The box, as I am reading it right now, says it makes 14 slices in 14 minutes. So the longer time period should not have made a difference, in fact the box says they are stackable and can cook for 28 minutes...crazy. Anyway I bought a Nordicware Rack, we'll see how that goes tomorrow.

Great idea but the plastic is too flimsy and it broke after only 2 uses.

Works okay but has a serious limitation,

I don't understand why this manufacturer would come up with a fairly good idea and then ruin the whole thing by making it too small to do what it's supposed to do. The bacon hangs 4" beyond the whole tray. You have to wrap it around the sides and then some grease is going to go over the edge onto the floor of your microwave. If they had made it 4" or so longer, the bacon would fit and it certainly would fit into most microwaves. My microwave is certainly not overly large but there is tons of space on either side of this tray. WHY??> I don't really recommend it highly. Mine didn't fall apart like some reviewers said (and showed a picture of) and I've cleaned it fairly well, using a small baby toothbrush, but it isn't really worth the trouble that it creates.

This thing really works. The bacon cooks up nice and crisp and stays straight and organized. If you lose/break one of the provided sticks to hold the bacon in place, you can use one of those long bamboo skewers they sell in the grocery store for shish kebobs.
