First of all I wanna say that Gisselle has a wonderful voice but I thing that she is #1 in merengue and by seeing all reviews I'm with all the people I hope that NEVER Gisselle gonna make another fake pop cd cuz people they want to hear Gisselle when she is a merenguera.Hopping that she will be reading the reviews about what her fans have to say and focus on merengue beats next time.I'm out

This is by far the worst Gisselle cd. She rose as a merengue star, and is now falling as a mediocre "pop wanna-be".

Gissella Rubio?,

Since Gisselle is considered one of the Reinas Del Merengue I picked up this CD expecting Merengue or at least a little Pop Tropical (as she has been including in her last two productions). Contrary to my expectations I took my initial listen to the CD only to find that Gisselle has jumped onto the ex-merenguera/future Pop Star bandwagon. This album is the ultimate step in Gisselle's recent transformation into the Boricua version of Paulina Rubio (which is even evident in her new look as a rubia on the cover). Of the 12 tracks there are three that are up beat dance tracks, "no hay aire," "no quiero perderte no" and "el meneo" (the latter two being the only tracks having what could possibly be considered a tropical beat on album). The tracks "te diré lo que siento" and "si la noche te trajera" appear as the softer more mellow Baladas. The other tracks are reminiscent of who else but the Border Girl. What makes the comparison to Paulina even more obvious is the fact that Gisselle even includes una versión grupera of "no hay aire" (despite the fact that Gisselle is Puertorriqueña and not Mexicana). The album closes with English translations of two of the songs. The album does have its high points with "no quiero perderte no" and "el meneo." I also liked "de nuevo sola" which had an almost R&B type beat to it. However in general I did not care very much for En Alma, Cuerpo y Corazón. This may be due to the fact that I am not the biggest fan of Pop En Español. If you like Paulina Rubio though... Cómpralo ya!!!

I'm pretty amazed about the work she done, yes Gisselle have a wonderful voice and nobody can sing like her, she's unique and that's why I'm her fan.All the song are good and eceptially"No hay aire",that song will be a hit next year and I wish her the best for 2003 with her cd in merengue and the other will be in english. The media out of PR already see Gisselle as the next queen of merengue and pop,and I really believe them.Y como como como como que es????????

Even though there are no merengues in this album. Her songs are very nice. She shows that she's good at any type of music she sings.I hope she still continues to do some merengue. The best songs on this album are Marchate,No Aye Aire,Amame,Enter alma cuerpo y corazon. She also has 2 english songs on this album that are versions of 2 of her spanish songs on this album.

Her best yet...,

First I should say that I'm a sometimes fan of Gisselle. Sure, every once in a while she has a great song or two, but for the most part the other 90% of songs on her albums tend to suck (such was the case with 8). The merengue is played out and can be very repetitive. Thank God, Gisselle noticed that too.Her latest also happens to be her best. It's odd that most of the reviews deride her for going pop, but, oh well. It's great. Each song is incredibly catchy and will not wear you down after a few listens. And the two English songs blew my mind. After hearing Thalia and Paulina's dreadful attempts to sing in English and sound even remotely coherent, Gisselle comes along and puts the smack down. I swear, her English is better than mine. Oh, well. Hopefully this review will counter the awful and unwarranted criticism this wonderful album has attained so far. It is very highly recommended.

This is one of Gisselle's best CDs - for all those people on this board who say she started our a Merengue star and shouldn't explore other music - how pitiful are you! Music is Music - doesn't matter what type as long as it sounds good - and this does. Marchate is an AWESOME song
