5.0 out of 5 stars A Comprehensive Analysis, December 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Enabling Sexual Abuse & The Analysis of The Sandusky Indictment (Kindle Edition)
This is a comprehensive analysis of the Sandusky matter at Penn State and how it is representative of the larger and more widespread problem of those who enable sexual abuse. This refers to all those who intentionally or unintentionally, through their silence and failure to report sexual abuse, allow it to continue and indeed provide encouragement to the perpetrators, who see that they have not only intimidated their victims into silence but the witnesses as well. Stopping pedophiles is everyone's responsibility, both in terms of current victims and the prevention of future victims.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enabling sexual abuse, my opinion, December 23, 2011
This review is from: Enabling Sexual Abuse & The Analysis of The Sandusky Indictment (Kindle Edition)
It is not easy to find a book that deals with this subject so openly. Ms Settenbrino has taken a very painful subject, sexual abuse, one that scars its victims for life and can ruin generations after the fact and written a powerful and concise book on it. It is very honest in its investigation on how this crime is done, how the victim is threatened and silenced, how the criminal who did this usually gets away with his or her crime and the effect on the judicial system. I dont know if I should cry for all the victims more or cry for happiness that someone as courageous as Ms. Settenbrino has finally written a truthful, comprehensive book on this most sensitive of subjects.
