good effort for a first try...,

These days it's probably impossible to get a perfect groove-ambient-new agey (whatever you want to call it) album. This is no exception. While some tracks are excellent, others just fill in CD space for no reason. Maybe that's the reason why there are 17 tracks in total. That said, I think they put a fair amount of effort into this. What you get is a sound that falls somewhere in between Enigma and Mythos but with more flamenco influence. Best tracks are 1,2 and 6. I wonder what their next album will be like...

Enchanted with Enamoured,

This CD is one of the best I've listened to in some time and I follow this genre very closely. Bella Sonus' music is a blend between Enigma, The Gypsy Kings, Radio Tarifa and Chicane all rolled-up into one very pleasing and refined recording. Repeated listening will yield new layers of sound with twists & turns you'll swear you've heard for the first time. Well worth the investment!

It will live in your CD player for a long time!,

This was one of those discs that jumped into my hand. And I am glad it did. From the deep sliding bass of the opening track to the the "Enigma"-tic lyrics of the final track, Bella Sonus definitely lived up to its name. Rich, deep groves, flamenco guitars, upbeat dance- this album has it all. If you liked "Pilgrimage: 9 Songs of Ecstacy", then you will like this album.

Cool Stuff,

What great all around music. I don't feel compelled to list a bunch of names to compare it to, it stands well on it's own, and doesn't pretend to be anything. It's that great mix of new-jazz-clasical-rock thing that feels good to listen to. When you get to the end of the CD you find yourself saying "wow, that was really cool" then you put it right back to the beginning again.

Bella sonus has plenty of catchy tracks that has kept the disc in my player for several days in a row. The album mixes flamenco, mood, and a bit of trance and is different from the endless sea of identical beat loop tracks that dominate so much of the new age market. I searched for a long time for an album, like 'Enamoured,' with talented guitar work and enough of a beat to keep me from becoming bored. If you like the latin guitar and addicting beat of Monica Ramos' MOAI, then you are sure to like this one.

I picked up this CD after hearing the first two cuts. Afterwards I played it over and over agian on the CD player in my rental car (aren't we getting so advanced). I still like the first two cuts the best, but the rest of the CD maintians interest and is a delight to listen to. The style reminds me a bit of the first CD by Enigma with a mix of musical styles, overdubs and vocals. This CD, however, sounds much more Spanish. Not latin, but calssical Spanish-style guitar and harmonics. The combination of electronic and acoustic and vocal on the CD sets the cuts apart and helps keep the music interesting throughout. If you enjoyed the first Enigma, then you will like this CD as well.

Beautiful and enchanting beats and rhythms. Comparable to Enigma and Deep Forest but unique in their own style. It really surprised me how good it was.
