4.0 out of 5 stars Regency romance with a tinge of fantasy, August 1, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: An Enchanted Affair (Mass Market Paperback)
Lisanne Neville, the wealthy and orphaned daugher of a baron, becomes the ward of her uncle. She has a miserable existence except for the time she spends in the woods. Then she learns that her beloved woods are to be sold for timber. She takes action by proposing to the almost-destitute Duke of St. Sevrin. If he marries her, she will help his finances and he will protect her woods. The first half of the book is wonderful and the second half is disappointing. Still, this book is better than most Regency romancies.
