When I lived in Santa Fe,New Mexico,I listened to the cassette tape version of this album A LOT.When my old cassette/CD player chewed up this album,I was forlorn.Luckily,I was able to find the CD version of this--and now I'm happy again.

The album is comforting,as comforting as spicy sweet mole,as comforting as warmed sopapillas with butter and honey on them.It evokes the deserts and mesas of the Land of Enchantment. It begins with the mythic "People of the Canyons" and closes with the haunting "Stargazers of Chaco." "Rain Apparition" and "Calling Thunder" musically depict the Southwest's summer thunderstorms."Ancient Dreams/Ancient Dreamers" and "Dream Echoes" call forth the mysteries of the ancient civilization of the Anasazi.

It's unfortunate this album is no longer in print;it's one of the best New Age albums. If you enjoy flute music and/or love the American Southwest, this is perfect!
