Editorial Reviews

Review

Another excellent Anness speciality - a beautifully presented, lavishly illustrated book full of innovative and inspirational ideas. This time focusing on flower arranging in the form of wreaths, garlands, swags and rings, it is a book to linger over, to act on and then sit back and admire the results. From luxurious swags to simple rings, scented wreaths to pretty garlands, authors Fiona Barnett and Terence Moore present a concise guide of these enviable floral decorations, demonstrating the techniques with clear and comprehensive instructions. Projects are photographed in each stage of construction to ensure complete understanding and tricky manoeuvres explained separately at the beginning of each section. Adorn your home with the rustic simplicity of a wild barley garland or rosehip wreath; drape your mantelpiece with aromatic hops or artichokes; decorate your dining table with hydrangea baskets and daisy napkin rings; celebrate the seasons with Valentine garlands, spring flower Easter wreaths, sunflower thanksgiving wreaths, pine Christmas garlands and the incredibly pretty hanging mistletoe kissing ring. From adornment to practical, pretty to sophisticated, this is a fabulous collection of ideas for anyone looking for something to make that special day extra special. - Lucy Watson
