A mysterious storm strikes Cherry Blossom Lane. Betsy Moore, her mom, and their next door neighbor Jimmy can't find another person anywhere. They do find a mysterious green mist floating above a hole in the floor of the Moores' spare room, which transports them into a magical new world. There, Betsy and Jimmy learn that they must fulfill the prophecy that will determine the future of both worlds. Jimmy and Betsy face dangers that threaten their lives and their friendship, but as they journey, they learn the truth about their fathers and the curse that was put upon them. They develop faith in themselves, and they show kindness where it is least expected.
