Aimed primarily at women, this guide covers the enchanted subjects of frog princes, broken-heart spells, "love posturing" and seduction. Despite being cloaked in witchcraft lingo, Morrison's love advice is actually quite pragmatic she deftly advises on touchy subjects like first-time lovemaking with a new partner and body issues. Heterosexual readers not put off by suggestions for, e.g., performing a "hurt-feelings-be-gone" ritual will enjoy this quirky book; skeptics should steer clear.

Love Spells. Everyone wants one, you know that. First thing someone asks me when they find out I'm a witch - can you give me a love spell. Everyone is looking for love, all the time. Never met a person who wasn't, unless they already had found the love of their life. Even then, you get - "How can I spark up our relationship?"

Enchantments of the Heart is a book on love. It is a work that has love poured into it and speaks of love as only a person who is truly in love could write. Dorothy has put her love into this book and created a handbook on love - how to attract it, how to nurture it and how to keep it. But love is not blind in this book.

Dorothy discusses the many faces of love, the illusion of love, our constant search for Mr. Right in a sea of frogs. This is a practical book of everyday love magic. It is not fantasy land, but it does show you how to attain your perfect love. And each search begins with you.

We do not attract unless we project and Dorothy goes into detail about how to work that special magic that makes you attractive to others. Love of others begins with love of oneself.

She also discusses looking in all the wrong places, and finding the toads amongst the frogs. And finding that Prince.

While I am not hunting out there amongst the frogs myself, I found that the recipes (both food and romance) for keeping that special fire lit in a relationship to be interesting. Because, yes, the fire can go out if you don't keep that spark there. And if you are not working together, you are not in a relationship. You are just shacking up together.

So bravo for Ms. Morrison and her new book, due out soon. Pick this honey up and find that special someone in your life, or just renew the relationship you have with that special someone.

Love is what life is all about, so live it to the fullest.

Dorothy Morrison has captured the soul in Enchantments of the Heart. Whether you are looking for your perfect mate, or if you have found them already. Enchantments of the Heart is filled with the spirit of romance. With all the "do's and don'ts" we can all identify easily. Backing her knowledge from experience, common sense and her natural love of the heart. Dorothy Morrison shines through from the beginning of Enchantments of the Heart all the way to the end.

She begins Enchantments of the Heart with good common sense of letting go, and cleaning out the old bagguage, both physically, mentally and emotionally. This is something that is at times the hardest, yet the most important. Dorothy lightens this task with a fortitude that makes you feel she is with you every step of the way.

Continuing on, she identifies every frog in the pond. "No guys, this isn't male bashing! These frogs are both male and female, and there is at least one or two everyone as a whole identifies with. Bringing forth humour as we identify our errors of the past and/or present in the mate selections is a brilliant strategy on Ms. Morrisons part to give us healing from past heartaches. Moving forth comes the "how to's and tips." With good common sense, spells and rituals to fine tune and perfect your romantic heart.

Once you have found your perfect mate, or perhaps you already have. This section is filled with wonderful ways to keep the romance fresh and your heart of love in flames of passion.

Whether you are still looking for your perfect mate, the relationship is new or fifty years in the making. This is a great book. The rituals really work. One little quibble, though -- in the second ritual, she says to throw your stuff (including clothes) away and bury it. Why not advise donating it to the homeless instead? There's enough garbage in landfills.

I don't think that donating your useable stuff to a charity would make the ritual any less effective. In fact, it might even make you feel better about yourself, which is the whole point of the ritual anyway.
