Love Spells. Everyone wants one, you know that. First thing someone asks me when they find out I'm a witch - can you give me a love spell. Everyone is looking for love, all the time. Never met a person who wasn't, unless they already had found the love of their life. Even then, you get - "How can I spark up our relationship?"

Enchantments of the Heart is a book on love. It is a work that has love poured into it and speaks of love as only a person who is truly in love could write. While I am not hunting out there amongst the frogs myself, I found that the recipes (both food and romance) for keeping that special fire lit in a relationship to be interesting. Because, yes, the fire can go out if you don't keep that spark there. And if you are not working together, you are not in a relationship. You are just shacking up together.

So bravo for Ms. Morrison and her new book, due out soon. Pick this honey up and find that special someone in your life, or just renew the relationship you have with that special someone.

She begins Enchantments of the Heart with good common sense of letting go, and cleaning out the old bagguage, both physically, mentally and emotionally. This is something that is at times the hardest, yet the most important. Dorothy lightens this task with a fortitude that makes you feel she is with you every step of the way.

Continuing on, she identifies every frog in the pond. "No guys, this isn't male bashing! These frogs are both male and female, and there is at least one or two everyone as a whole identifies with. Bringing forth humour as we identify our errors of the past and/or present in the mate selections is a brilliant strategy on Ms. Morrisons part to give us healing from past heartaches. Moving forth comes the "how to's and tips." With good common sense, spells and rituals to fine tune and perfect your romantic heart.

This is a great book. The rituals really work. One little quibble, though -- in the second ritual, she says to throw your stuff (including clothes) away and bury it. Why not advise donating it to the homeless instead? There's enough garbage in landfills.

I don't think that donating your useable stuff to a charity would make the ritual any less effective. In fact, it might even make you feel better about yourself, which is the whole point of the ritual anyway.

Within reading five pages of this book it was very obvious to me that Dorothy had obviously reached inside my head, jerked out every thought, idea, and opinion on love I've ever had, then proceeded to scribble them down on paper. I was honestly amazed at how much our views are similar.

Whether anyone is searching for their perfect love or not, I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone, if only to give them a chance to recognize how propoganda from society has affected us, but also, to combat it, which will hopefully make you a healthier and happier person in the long run.

She doesn't come across as a preachy "Here's my advice!" type of author. She actually gives practical advice, but also ways to use it and take an active role in your love life. These aren't just pretty words and philosophies on paper, but a working book for those who wish to work towards a life filled with love, of all kinds.

Her experiences have clearly not been great in love in the past, which is perfect since who wants to take advice from someone who hasn't had a rocky love life? She's been there, I've been there, through this book she will definitely attempt to get you through the maddness that is love to a place where you can be at peace and content with a successful love life.

Even if you don't practice magik, this book is full of good practical advice for finding a great partner but also for being a great partner. However, I have myself found the spells included to be extremely effective as I have with all of Dorothy Morrison's work.

This book is 'Self-Help' at its best! With witty tales, and a humorous look at serious and common self-image and relationship issues, Morrison makes a fun and inspiring read out of subjects that generally get mired down in psycho-babble and drama. But, make no mistake - she provides real solutions to real problems without making you feel as though you've just spent 2 weeks on a shrinks couch! Her straight-forward, no BS style could not be more refreshing...

This book has some very valuable information about changing yourself and not getting trapped into the same kind of relationship over and over.

Dorothy Morrison knows her stuff. This book is chock full of down to earth usable advice. A nice break from the new-age garbage that's recently been flooding the market! A must read for anyone wishing to clean up their life and find a mate!

I loved this book! It was a nice addition to my collection. Worth the money.

From start to finish, I liked this book very much. I've read a lot of Pagan related books, some excellent, some not so excellent. I found this one to be in the excellent category. I found it practical, user friendly and full of common sense. One of the things I liked best about this book was that it's 'down to Earth', combining spirituality with the everyday stuff, which makes perfect sense to me.
A keeper.
