Our old log carrier was an open ended canvas tote. Whenever we brought logs in chips and bits were scattered across the floor. Also, we had to make sure we had just the right number of logs because if we put the carrier on the floor it collapsed.

What a boon it is to have this log bag that doesn't strew debris across the floor. In addition, the rack holds the bag securely in place so you can use some of the wood for your next fire if you wish.

Aaaah, all the comforts of a warm fire without any mess.

This was very easy to assemble, is very sturdy, and looks nice in the room. It is unassuming and doesn't stand out, but fits in with our fireplace very well. The bag holds a bunch of wood (for a whole night of fires, we needed to refill it 2-3 times) and we really liked the side pocket for kindling - we use it for newspaper as well.
