If you like your old version, keep it. This new version (2012) is different and not better. You'll need to re-learn the program. I like version 17 better. Even better, I like Print Shop 20. If you're gonna upgrade something, at least make it better! I gave mine away!

I have used Print Master for more than 10 years and upgraded a number of versions and they have completely ruined the product with the 2012 Platinum. It doesn't have nearly the capabilities as even the earliest versions. I have uninstalled this version and reinstalled the older Print Master 16.

If this is your first time using Print Master, I have no doubt it will be your last. You could use Word and do what this program does.

Don't waste your money!

I'm an echo here. I've used Printmaster for at least 18 years, and I have brought it for others as gifts. The 2012 version is terrible, and I am seeking a refund. I had no trouble installing it, but I noticed several issues right away. The first was I could not open two projects at the same time. Soon after I realized the print preview type function made it difficult for me to be certain on which page in a card text and graphics would appear after the card was printed. And what's this with limiting a user to three pages of text and/or graphics in a half letter sized card. I agree this may be the best composition choice, but shouldn't the user decide. When I discovered I was unable to cut and paste from or to another application or from the Internet, I was appalled I had wasted my money on this application. The final straw, however, was when I read in the highly critical reviews that I couldn't open and use any of hundreds of old projects. I hadn't had a need to attempt this yet, but that really would have made me mad. I wish I had read the reviews before buying the 2012 Printmaster software. I usually do my homework before making a purchase, but I really loved my old Printmaster and expected the new software to be just as good.

ugh!!! HATE this new version. SOOOO pissed I spend money on it. It is SO different than the previous versions (I have been using Printmaster for 20 years!!) that I finally just uninstalled it and dumped it in the trash. DO NOT buy this. Buy PrintShop instead. More options. More familiar. Easier to use. This Printmaster is a piece of garbage.

It is not easy to install or to use, difficult to choose a card, has no address book.
I have had several card programs & this was the worse one I ever had.
Would love to return it as it was a waste of my money.

Wish it had more of what I was looking for.
Nothing beats my Print Master Platinum 17 (guess I am just use to it).

This product is a complete waste of money and my time. Cannot even get the company to agree it was going back. I'll never even buy a product from the company as they are defensive and will not even help to troubleshoot printing...which never prints on the card like the old printmaster. I never post an opinion but want to hopefully help someone not make the same mistake I did. DONT BUY

I have used Printmaster16 for years and thought I would upgrade. This was a big mistake. This new program is nothing like the previous versions. It is not user-friendly at all!I cannot even find where to change the size of a card; It tells me It can only use certain card stock sizes. As an experienced user of printing software, it is crazy that I cannot make this work! A novice would not be able to use this. I'm going back to my old program . This was a colossal waste of money and time.

I did not listen to the reviews and put Print Master 2012 Platinum on my Wish List. Please listen to all the warnings! I have been using Greeting Card Factory for years and years and just wanted to add another program to my library. First Print Master would not not do the "Full Install"...I keep getting "The installation file is corrupt" error. Then I decided to to a Quick Install. Well, it installed but got a message that one or more of the fonts did not install...what???? I decided to make a test Birthday card and the selection was very, very limited and not up to the quality I have in Greeting Card Factory. Support is no help at all! So please, do not waste even a penny on this program. By the way, my computer is brand new, has more than enough of memory to handle this software, so I know that is not an issue. I also had returned the first copy I received. The disc was really marred, so I thought that maybe that was the problem, but it wasn't. Amazon was great about sending out a replacement, I received it in two days and they even paid the postage for the return.

If you are looking for a great Greeting Card program, I strongly recommend Greeting Card Factory. Great selection of templates and I am able to edit them to the point that everyone at first thinks it is a store bought card. And no, I have no connection to the company at all, except for being a very, very satisfied customer.

Seriously, stay away from Print Master. If anyone knows how to get the program to do a Full Install, kindly post in this review section.

I used the 2004 version of Printmaaster for years until the motherboard on my old system crashed and I had to replace everything. I bought the latest version of PM (because I couldn't find my old v2004 disc) and couldn't believe how the product has been cheapened. The old PM was a useful tool for easy graphic design, and made finishing off complex PhotoShop projects easier than finishing them off in PhotoShop. In the new version, they've somehow managed to both dumb it down and make it more difficult to navigate at the same time. Several functions from the older version are gone, and about 1/3 of the interface is hogged by a too-large (and pointless) menu that's impossible to get rid of. A nice product eight years ago; a piece of junk today.
