OUTRAGIOUS!!!!!!!!!! Lionel Richie always brings it to the stage&this Disc Captures the Magic of his Many Classic Songs over the years. the Band is tight&Lionel Vocally is on point. the pacing of the show is quick&very good all the way through. Hello was cool,but I really dug how he did "All Night Long" Live. he added a extra vibe to that song live. I wish the Collection could have kept on going because it was tight. very well Arranged&everything was Smooth. Lionel Richie is a Musical Genius.

This CD originall was only a UK release and was first released two years ago. It (UK version) is a far better version than the US version. The UK version has 17 songs vice the US version's 12 songs. The only thing the US release has over the UK release is that the US version indicates this is a live CD which the UK release does not. Being American I like to buy items from the US, especially when it comes to music. But when a CD is released, I look at both UK and US versions and determine which one I buy. Sometimes it's better to buy the UK version such as the case in Lionel's Renaissance CD. Regarding Encore, I think I'm going to buy the UK version. It is a far better version than the US release.

The Lional Richie CD Encore is fantastic. A nice selection of songs.
Amazon sent my order immediately and it got here undamaged. Would deal again.

Lionel Richie is One of the Greatest Artists Ever&Live He is even better. He is One of the Few Acts that to Me gets it right both in the Studio&on stage, he is a Artist's Artist. Live as this set showcases He is on top of his game. I enjoyed His Vocals&the overall feel of the songs played Live. I saw him in concert back in the day&it Rates in my top 1-3 Performances that I have Ever seen Live. this Man is a Musical Genius&He ain't lost it. a Must have for all Lionel fans Everywhere. OUTRAGIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd think that after nearly 20 years past his heyday and a few voice operations that Lionel Richie may have lost his touch. But this live album proves just the opposite. Richie hasn't lost any of his magic.

"Encore" may be brief (12 songs) but it is a very lively and enjoyable concert. Lionel blasts his way through some of his best known tunes, including "Three Times A Lady", "Easy", "Brick House", "Penny Lover", "All Night Long", "Stuck On You", "Say You, Say Me" and "Dancing On The Ceiling". While these renditions will do nothing to make you forget the originals, they are nonetheless great performances. The only reason I gave the cd four stars instead of five is because of the mediocre (and short) performances of "Hello", "Running With The Night" and "Angel".

So give yourself and pick up "Encore". It's definitely worth it.

I never got the pleasure of seeing Lionel Ritchie live either alone or when he was with the Commadores. This CD is the closest thing to that and I really enjoyed all the music it has. Seeing the movie Rio and the song Say You Say Me. brought back memories. I remember seeing the movie White Nights and the song was also at the end of that movie so when he sang it on this CD it was enjoyable to hear again along with all his other great hits like Dancing on the Ceiling and Brick House and many more. I hope one day if the chance comes I can see Lionel Live, but if I never have the pleasure then this CD brings me to the hearing him live and my mind will take me to the audience to be there seeing him perform. Fantastic CD buy it!

When I purchased this I didn't know it was a live CD because I don't usually like the live CD's. The reason I don't like live cd's because most of the time some of the songs are not the complete songs. The song I really wanted was Angel, I ended up getting the song off another cd on itunes. I decided to keep the cd because I am a collector of Lionel Richie and thought I had all of his albums but I did not have this one.

Lionel Richie's Encore live album is wonderful! Though it came out three years later in 2004 of his 2001 concert in England, this is a very energetic live release. He is still in fine form singing his biggest solo and Commodores hits such as All Night Long, Still, Three Times a Lady, Penny Lover, Stuck On You (even the crowd's singing to the words!), Dancing on The Ceiling and his most recent hit Angel. I still feel like I'm at the concert after hearing this CD! And to these longtime artists doing standards albums, they need to take some pointers from Lionel and tear up some stages to sing their biggest hits and newer songs! The fans don't play around--they know all the words, just as these fans did at Lionel's concert for this album! This is yet another superb performance from Lionel, who's still at the top of his game in music!

Maybe I was looking forward to this too much, but the arrangements are sub-par, lionel's voice sounds rough and he sings the songs different than the originals, really mixing the lyrics and pronunciation up a lot. It sounds more like he's talking rather than singing. I was very disappointed-not worth it as a live cd.
