Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Eleven older programs are included in this bundle, which unfortunately, is not as good as last year's model. Many of the programs in the 2002 version are mediocre at best. Two exceptions are DK's Ultimate Human Body 2.0 and Typing Tutor 9. Fairly good are A+ Spanish and the Millennium Encyclopedia. Also included are science and history programs from Zane Publishing- these resemble textbooks/slideshows, but are on CD-ROM. Encore's own Essential Review Grammar and Vocabulary CDs, and Compton's Learning Math for Middle School are both poorly designed. If you can find a copy, we recommend the 2001 version of Middle School Advantage instead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money like I did., April 27, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Middle School Advantage 2002 (CD-ROM)
This package is really disappointing. The math programs are dismal. You click on buttons just to view a page from a math book. The Internet has interactive math websites that are far better. Unfortunately, I had to find that out after I spent my money. The earth and life sciences CD's are not too bad, but again the Internet has much to offer on these subjects for free. The history CD is a joke. The caveat here is to avoid buying these package deals and look for individual products.

I think this a good program because there aren't many middle school education programs.
