Back With a Kick,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
This C.D. is Eminem's best. With a mixture of diffrent types of songs, funny, violent, and love. This is how I'd rate the tracks on a scale of 1-10
Intro 1 pretty pointless Evil Deeds 7 not the best but still pretty good Never Enough 7 It was ok Yellow Brick Road 7 songs better than the first 2 Like Toy Soldiers 8 One of his greatest hits Mosh 9 great idea to rebel against Bush Puke 6 good but too much sound affects My 1st Single 9 good for a laugh Paul 5 they only have it so they can use another skit Rain Man 10 the best song I've ever heard by Eminem Big Weenie 8 It's a sick song 'Em Calls Paul 7 pretty funny Just Lose it 10 you have to see the video Ass Like that 10 cracks me up every time Spend Some Time 8 Pretty good but they could get rid of some verses Mocking Bird 7 Sad song Crazy in Love 8 a diss to Kim 1 Shot 2 Shot 9 one of the best songs I've heard Final Thought 6 You have to get explicit to under stand it Encore 10 One of the best songs I've heard

Terrible Album,
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
Both the dirty and clean versions are terrible. The singles on this album are more edited than the TV versions. In the "Mosh" video, they only censor the F word. On the album version, they censor words such as "strapped with an AK-47" or "ass-crack", and more, and are both played uncensored on MTV and BET. Also on Toy Soldiers, they censor "killed" and "murdered" and allow it in the video. It is the worst Eminem album ever released and should have the same edited versions as the ones on TV

He wants to be different,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
I read some reviews and I didn't like them. I heard an interview and he said that he wanted this album to be different. He also wants to deliver messages in his songs and I know what these messages are. I have ALL of the edited versions of his CDs and this is the best edited for people who listen to it. His past 2 albums edited are great, and the first 2 weren't even edited AT ALL, just a little bit. He's matured and doesn't want to be as bad as he used to, and isn't that vulgar anymore. This album is 4x platinum people. Most artists can't do that. My favorite song on this album is "Like Toy Soldiers," a message song. If you want to learn what the message is to that and other songs, BUY THE CD!!!!! I'm not telling you the message. Songs like "Just Lose It," and "Rain Man," are funny songs. Another message songs is "Mosh." "Mockingbird," was for his daughter and niece. If you want to learn about his childhood and his younger years, listen to "Evil Deeds," and "Yellow Brick Road." THAT'S MY MESSAGE! BUY THIS CD! IT IS AWESOME! I LOVE IT AND YOU WILL TOO!

By hottestjac "Jacob" (AZ, USA) - See all my reviews

i was really looking forward to the hardcore rapper eminem, this cd is way edited (anything bad even A$$ is edited). he plays around alot in this cd but some tracks still remind me of the old eminem. there is no where near as many cursewords in his tracks as it used to be. even tho this cd wasn't what i excepted its still a great buy and would recomend it to any eminem fan. it never gets old to listen 2.

Well...,
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
The album is very good. But it's not what I expected. The Clean version isn't that good.
Curtains Up- It's okay...if you listen closely you can hear him humming the chorus to Evil Deeds. Evil Deeds- Very good song, I have no idea what it's about though. He talks about how there's always a crowd where he goes and his fame is always on. Never Enough- I never really paid attention to the track. I sometimes get Nate Dogg and 50 cent's voices mixed up. Em talks about how he's fast pacing. Yellow Brick Road- Basically about his life before he blew up and became a rap star. Like Toy Soldiers- A Benzino-Murder Inc.- Shady Records truce. Em talks about how he doesn't want to be involved and doesn't want anyone to get killed over something silly. Mosh- Very nice track. It focuses on the corruption George W. Bush has put upon America. Also about the War on Terror. Puke- He talks about Kim, he talks about how much he hates her. The is one of two tracks on this album that isn't backmasked too much. My 1st Single- Doesnt' really have a topic. In the first verse, he raps about how he can't top the sellings of the Eminem Show Paul- Just a plain old skit about the issue with the Just Lose It video and Michael Jackson. Rain Man- One of the stupid nonsence songs. I like it a little. Pretty pointless and is a waste of space. Big Weenie- He talks about how people are jealous of him and green of envy. Em calls Paul- Eminem has one of those cybertron voices and calls Paul about the Just Lose It thing. He uses alot of M. Jackson's song titles as well. Just Lose It- A hit of course. The song that sounds like Without Me, which sounds like the Real Slim Shady, which sounds like My Name is. One of two tracks that isn't backmasked. A** Like That- Eminem has transformed into one of those rappers who has the booty shaking in his videos. Pretty funny but also pointless. Spend Some Time- Would be the best song on the album if 50 cent didn't rap a verse. Eminem and Obie Trice killed it though. Mockingbird- Alot of people consider this the most mature song on the album, which it is. But you get tired of it after a while. Crazy in Love- It's about a girl of course. Not Kim though, some other girl that he's crazy about. One of the reasons I bought the song. One Shot 2 shot- This is the reason you shouldn't buy the edited version. Every other word is blanked out! At the end of Eminem's verse, there is 6 seconds of JUST the beat because the took out his words. Final Thought- With the clean version, the will leave you in the dark. He takes his gun out of his dressing room and puts it in his pocket and goes back on stage. Encore- Sounds like it was supposed to be his last. He talks about he never wants to leave without saying good bye. Very good song and nice beat. The clean version deletes the end of the track, where he shoots up the crowd with the gun that he got in Final Thought, and shoots himself in the mouth. Bonus Disc! We As Americans- Good song. When you listen to it you'll say " They should have put this on the original disc! " But it doesn't fit there. I can't imagine this on the original disc. It's too mature, while the others are mostly pointless. It's about nothing really. In one of the verses, he says he set precedents and would rather see the president dead. Love you More- Many people don't like it. I like the end of the 3rd verse. It is about Kim, just like most of his hit records, he kills her. But he shoots her, though that is unknown in the Clean Version. Ricky Ticky Toc- Talking about he's rap career, and saying he'll explode and have another episode where he let's it got as far as the one with Benzino did.

Not a great followup,
By Viento (Lakewood, CO) - See all my reviews

I was very disappointed by this CD. I so much enjoyed its predecessor that I had high hopes for this one. Hopes that were soundly dashed. There are few memorable tracks on this one, and it really sounds a lot like just more of the same. He has wicked talent. Don't know what happened to it this time though.

Alright...,
By Chris Stoery "Neanderthol" (In the middle of nowhere, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
I have always enjoyed Eminem's CDs from Slim Shady to his newest one. Unfortunately, Encore is not as good as the rest, but still better than most of the other crap out there. The album has many pros; beats from the one and only Dr. Dre (one of the best rap producers), the clear (and nasal) lyrics from Em, the featured artists are great, and the overall fun of listening to Eminem diss and piss off other celebirties. Eminem gets over his head when going into politics with his song "Mosh", and has 50 Cent on way too many songs. He seems to be turning more towards the comical role more than the rapping he did in The Eminem Show. Good, just not great.

Worst album so far!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Encore (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)
I have every single Eminem cd out [edited an explicit] and I liked every one so far. But this is almost complete garbage! Only some of the tracks are good [Mockingbird/Like Toy Soldiers/Yellow Brick Road/ and the title track among others]. Other than that the rest of the album is pretty odd and disgusting [not Eminem digusting, more like **y disgusting]. I mean, Eminem is always pretty odd at times, but at least on the first three albums it made sense. This album is something even I can't understand @ times and E is my favorite rapper! Everybody saying this is a good follow-up to Eminem Show, have lost their F***ING MINDS! This album has basically nothing in common with the Eminem Show!!! It is completely nothing like it! The songs on here aren't just strange in an Eminem sense, they are completely unlike any of his other albums [except Slim Shady LP but even that's only a little]. Even if you like E, you seriously have to like stupid/g** music to enjoy this! I'm sorry Em, but you let me down bad on this cd. With songs like "Just Lose It" and "Rain Man", this album is disgusting! The bonus disc is nice however it is short. but please, if you liked Eminem's albums before, don't buy this cheap imitation. Get "The Marshall Mathers LP" if want twisted humor that you can understand. And finally, don't even let the thought of getting this edited get in your head! I qoute "Who woulda thought possible: Cupid coulda **** another one them ... darts at me...". The "*"'s are where "shot" was blanked out. Come On!!! He is talking about a love arrow not a gunshot! The editing is unsure in that 'gd' and 'a$*' are edited out some times but not others. Also on the song 'Mosh', I qoute again, "... Im'a ***** aomeone's ***". Why should "whoop" be edited out???!!!! Very rediculous! If you are stupid enough to do everything you hear, you should be in a mental facility! Why make us sane people suffer by destroying great songs due to ignorant people and irresponsible parents? peace out
