Hey, I read all of the Forbidden Doors by Bill Myers. I wish he would put out more. They all were just great. Bill Myers has become one of my favorite authors. I suggest that you read all of his books because they are all good. Once you start reading his books you just can't stop.

This review is from: The Encounter (Forbidden Doors, Book 6) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the 6th book of the series "Forbidden Doors". The title is "The Encounter".(Background info: Becka and Scott Williams, along with their mother, move to California after having spent many years in the jungles of South America. Their dad flew missionaries into South America and his plane went down. Becka and Scott are going to school in California and making friends. This loving and awesome Christian family has a cozy and warm home atmosphere.) In this particular book, Becka's friend Krissi is the victim of the powers of darkness. They fool her into thinking she is special and chosen to have such an important gift. In previous books, both Becka and Julie have been persuaded and fooled by the powers of darkness. Becka has been fooled with hypnosis; Julie, with thinking she has an angel guide who has showed her heaven. They both, through Jesus, have overcome the brainwashing from the evil powers. Now, in this book, Becka and Scott and Ryan and Philip have to fight the evil powers to save Krissi. This book has an interesting side plot. It is about Scott being too involved in a video game. The game was important to him and came first in his life. The moral of the side plot is enlightening. Even though our preoccupation might not be video games, the message is the same. The book (and the entire series) is absolutely awesome.

This review is from: The Encounter (Forbidden Doors, Book 6) (Paperback)
i just would like to say that these books have taught me more and have allowed me to understand better the truthfulness of spiritual warfare. they also showed me to not take it lightly. i just got injured verry seriously and i haven't been able to do anything, that was untill i started to read those books, i have not been able to stop... in other words they are a series that not only teaches you but also they are taking an important tole to teach kids to be cautious and to know that this is how the real world is and that we should no cover up from our children and fellow class mates the truth.

This is the best book in the Forbidden doors series. It teaches you not to believe what you see all the time. The other books all have lessons behind them too but the main message is trust in God!
