There are problems with online texts (as pointed out in the sole review for this product), but in this age of online courses, this lab book has been a lifesaver for my teaching. I really appreciate the exercises and use of Google Earth. It's better than nothing for today's busy students. Of course we'd all love them to take their sweet time doing field work, but it's not practical. I disagree with the two star rating.

I had to use this for a class in college. I had some issues with the worksheets. There isn't always a lot of instruction. But after a few homework sessions I became more familiar with how to use Google Earth. I learned a lot. The visual instruction is very helpful for a visual learner. I have fond memories of using this product. Like I said I learned a lot.

It could be a great workbook but the software is not there yet. I haven't been able to complete certain lessons because of giant red Xs across the earth, continent spanning black curvy arrows, and what looks like a pair of headphones stretching from pole to pole.
