As a lay person who just wants to understand God's word well enough so that I can teach it to my all-ladies Sunday School class, this book was just what I needed. It went deep enough to give me a taste of what students study at a theological school but explained it well enough that I understood it easily. I am excited to learn so much historical background on Romans that it seems like I am reading it for the first time as my eyes are open to so many new ideas. Also the ladies are eating it up as they are thinking about things they may not have heard before. I can highly recommend this well-written book. I think it will be worn out by the time I finish it!

Encountering the Book of Romans is an excellent exposition of the book of Romans. Moo does a wonderful job of explaining in plain English the intricacies of the Book. I highly recommend any believer read this commentary. The book of Romans is life changing and world changing, and this book will guide you through it. A+!

This book provides good, basic comments for Romans and would be ideal for a Sunday School or high school class. Personally, I wish it were written for a higher age range and were a little deeper, but it does have helpful information.

I bought this book for my kindle, and found out that it did not have page numbers. I know that Kindle just recently introduced page numbers to their books, but I was highly irritated that there was no warning that told me there would be no page numbers. Otherwise it's a great book, but don't buy for kindle if you plan on reading it for an assignment where the page numbers are just assigned.

This is a great resource that takes you through Romans as if it were a live documentary in somewhat of a story fashion so you feel like you are in the time frame yourself. Questions are posed in rabbinic style that forces one to think.

Very thorough and help in studying the book of Romans with it's in-depth insite of theological issues that affects our lives today.

This is an Excellent book about the book of Romans. It is easy reading and very understandable!
