The author of this book has been true to the book's title. This book is very encouraging, uplifting, and reminds us that we are not alone. He gives us several examples of those biblical characters who have gone on before us that remained true to God and overcame their difficulties and trials by their great love for God as well as their great faith that he is able to provide whatever we need to overcome the trials of life and be victorious.

The author sets Christ before us as the ultimate example for us to follow as his mission was to leave "footsteps" that we may follow him who has already secured our victory for us if we will remain faithful.

The author also gives the practical teaching from God's Holy Word that we may follow and never lose our way. Truth is set before us on how we may be pleasing to God. We are given the knowledge of the scriptures on the godly things we need to add to our lives such as the fruit of the spirit, which will ensure our joy. We are reminded that we must study and learn God's word in order to be approved of him as well as to help others along the way of life.

The author also reminds us that we can know the truth and that it sets us free from sin and that we can know that we have salvation and that God has given us all that we need to please him through his precious word.

This book may be small in page number but it is so full of the answers that we all need and is so true to God's word, that words will not do it justice but one needs to read it for him/herself.

The author's manner and style of writing has kept this book interesting from cover to cover and a joy to read. Truly it is "Encouraging Words of Biblical Wisdom.'

My gratitude to the author, Gary Grizzell.

Gary Grizzell's E-book, Encouraging Words of Biblical Wisdom, is a well written, straight from the heart, and straight from the Bible message that speaks to all of us. It is direct, easy to read and well organized.

As another reviewer has mentioned, his book lives up to its title. It is truly a concise biblical road map for living your life. His message, with Bible passages and examples set by biblical characters, teaches all of us simple yet profound lessons on how to deal with the trials and tribulations of everyday life.

The following are excerpts from the book's preface.

"Have you ever been greatly distressed? Probably so or you would not have purchased this book. King David was greatly distressed yet comes this statement: ". . . but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God" (1 Samuel 30:6). You can do that too. The wisdom found in God's book is the source of moral, spiritual truth and personal spiritual strength.

How you can benefit from this book? Each chapter is a study from Bible accounts and scriptures which teach great lessons for men today. The Bible is more current than tomorrow's newspaper. Not all that is old is gold, but the Book of God, the Bible, is that very thing. All else, unless based on The book, is but fool's gold."

As you can see from the preface, his book is a wonderful biblical guide and source of information on how to deal with the negative side of life and how to live your life to its fullest. I can highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for hope and peace in his or her life.

Gary Grizzell has written a most interesting ebook about encouragement. His dedication was: To all who need, desire and are seeking encouragement on the road of life--and that fits everyone.

First thing he reminded the reader is that the word "courage" appears in both encouragement and discouragement. The encouragement he gives us is through scripture.

Every one of us--and people in the Bible--have had "thorns in the flesh," and how we handle that differs. First as Christians we need to admit that we cannot overcome all troubles on our own, and must lean on God.

Chapter 5 was my favorite in that he give 5 descriptions of what is a Christian: a son, a saint, a soldier, a student, and a servant--and in all those roles we need to follow God's word.

Most interesting and thought-provoking.

Encouraging Words of Biblical Wisdom (Biblical Studies Series from Self Publishing Innovations - #1)
One of the most disheartening experiences of a pastor is the number of times people talk about what a great book, how wonderful a help the bible is without ever opening it. Oh, it's solace for the person who just lost a loved one. So the one in despair clings to the bible, holds it close, as if holy energy will flow from the book into the body of the mourner.

Does the pastor say, "Open the book. Look at Psalm 23 or flip over to a few passages in John." He or she just pats the mourner on the shoulder and says, "There, there," or "I know how you feel."

Of course Gary Grizzell points out that there are many more places one needs encouragement than at graveside. But the strength of his book is that he drives the reader into the pages of scripture to find encouragement. He has done a masterful job of selecting and applying the bible to life.

For that, I thank Gary Grizzell.
