I was at a very well known Amazon parrot breeders website and saw "Encyclopedia of Amazon Parrots" listed as a recommended book to have.The book has lots of large colored pictures of the different Amazon species and sub species.It explains how to buy a healthy bird,(what to look for)general care(feeding and what types of food are best), info on nail and wing clipping, behaviors (what to expect in young,growing and older birds) the talking abilities of Amazons(which species are better than others) how to teach your bird to talk, caging,(the size and type of cages that are suitable) breeding and sex determination, basics on how to have a great pet while avoiding the mistakes made by us humans which result in bad behaviors(screeching,biting,feather plucking,)This is a large well written book with lots of information as well as personal funny stories.I highly recommend "Encyclopedia of Amazon Parrots" and enjoy looking and reading through all the information.You won't be sorry buying this book. Anything you need to know regarding Amazons is covered.I probably missed some things,but it is all here.
