This review is from: Encyclopedia of American Social Movements (Four Volume Set) (Hardcover)
To my knowledge, The Encyclopedia of American Social Movements this is the most comprehensive collection of social movements available. The 4-volume set reads like a popular history of the United States, providing a detailed account of the major and minor social movements in the nation. The social movements include Antislavery, Civil Rights, Womens Rights, and Labor. This unique book also examines movements of the Right, including religious, social conservatives, and many, many others. The Encyclopedia is arranged in an easy to use manner, structured thematically and chronologically for quick reference.
