Beautiful and Informative,
By
This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
When I first received my copy of this book, I thought "oh no, not another angel book!" However, when I first started browsing through the book, I was pleasantly surprised.
First off, this is a gorgeous book, and could easily just stay put on your coffee table. It's of a larger size, and where it's not a hard-back, it's cover is thicker than that of a regular paperback. The pages are thick and glossy, and there are many illustrations throughout the book. And I have to say the illustrations, which are done by Wendy Edelson, are fabulous. They look like they are done with watercolor? Whatever the medium, they are beautiful. It's 314 pages, and includes information on 17 archangels, 29 angels, 24 saints, 40 ascended masters and spirit guides, and 90 gods, goddesses and deities. On each page is is a section that tells you about that particular being. There is a section on how they can help you, an invocation and then a bit about that being. On the angels pages, the associated faith of that particular angel is listed, on the ascended masters' pages their date of birth and death are given, or it's listed if they are a mythological character. On the pages about the gods and goddesses, their associated culture is listed. This book is well researched, and Susan's writing style is clear and easy to understand. And I like that she includes some of my favorites, but also some beings whom I'm not very familiar with. My kids love to flip through this book, and I often find visitors to my home picking up the book and flipping through it and remarking on how interesting it is. I have enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great reference book on angels and saints, etc.. It's a wonderful source for anyone who wishes to connect to a higher power for wisdom and guidance, or even just to expand one's spiritual awareness.

An Angel for Every Occasion,
This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
I loved the book. It is very user friendly: the layout bullet points the specific ways the angels and spirits can help us and how we can reach out to them.
The one thing I would change and request of the author - please provide a pronunciation key with the names. I think it would help greatly to pronounce their name correctly when we call out to them.

The best angel information book I own and use,
This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
I own several books that I use regularly to reference information about the angels, spirit guides and ascended masters. I use these books frequently when writing guidance messages on my website, www.yourangelsguidance.com, and as reference material for my clients during their angel card readings.
Without a doubt, my favorite book is Susan's The Encyclopedia of Angels- Spirit Guides & Ascended Masters. In fact, I was so impressed with the information I found in Susan's book that I added a new feature to my website called YOUR Weekly Celestial Guide, which is 100% inspired by Susan and her book! Her book is full of easy to read information about our celestial beings, and most importantly, Susan provides a way to call on our celestial beings to help us with any life challenge we may have. You can use her book as you use oracle cards. Simply focus on what you need help with in your life and ask your celestial beings to help you pick an angel, spirit guide or ascended master from Susan's book that can assist you. If you enjoy reading about and using information about your angels, spirit guides and ascended masters, Susan's book is a must to add to your library of spiritual material. Love and Blessings, Gary

I opened the box for The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides & Ascended Masters took out the book and felt the magic. Just holding the book felt good. In fact, I felt like I was standing in the woods, with a light breeze around me and the sun shining on me. I was so relaxed. Then I opened the book. It is so beautiful. Each time I open the book, randomly, the angel or spirit guide or ascended master that I need for that day appears. I love it! I used to feel lonely sometimes in my spiritual search but with all these "helpers" around, how can I possibly be lonely?

Aloha,
Admittedly, I am rather prejudiced because I love this book and think it is wonderful. This is my seventh book and I enjoyed writing this book more than any other I have ever written. It has only been out for a few weeks as I write this review and I have already gotten several letters from readers thanking me for it. When I wrote it I felt like I had an entire host of non physical helpers. I was amazed when I researched and wrote about the saints. I always thought suffering and saints were inextricably linked but as I wrote about them I realized their lives were actually about a profound connection to spirit and that they didn't really suffer at all. I hope you enjoy my book and if you have any questions or I can be of service please let me know. With love and aloha, AKA Susan the author

A Nice Aid for Sorcery & Magic,
By Brother MOLOCH 969 "MolochSorcery.com" (Cleveland, Ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
I bought this book some time ago before I became initiated as a Houngan in Haitian Vodu, and I found it a lovely aid for working with Ritual or Ceremonial Magic.
What I like about this book is the images because they are pretty & are a good aid for those who wish to not only mentally create their own Thralls using Angels as a backdrop but also if one wishes to contact the Spirit Itself, one can use these images as a starting point. While this does not mean that Gabriel will look exactly like He is portrayed in this book, it does help the practitioner as a focal point. The idea is to imagine the Spirit (re: Angel) as vividly as you can using the picture portrayed for that Angel in the book. While I cannot say that hte Ascended Masters section was of much use, I will say that the parts where Saints were mentioned to be very helpful. I like working with Saints - always have - and they tend to help with problems in everyday life. The Invocations really did not impress me but that's ONLY becuase as a practicing Ritual/Ceremonial Magician, I've had years of training in using invocations, orisons & orations from that field of Magic & Sorcery. In truth if you wish to summon any of the Angels in this book, a simple invocation to use is as follows: "In the name of Eheieh, by the power of Shaddai El Chai, I call upon you, (enter Angel's name here) to help me with (enter request)." I've use that sort of invocation for years with much success. (Try it! It works!) The images are stunningly beautiful. I like the fact that the artist did them using colored pencils in lieu of paints because the pencils give the pictures more of an ethereal yet friendly quality. If you happen to be an artist, these images would be ideal as a nifty place to try your skill at recreating for practice. Overall I rate this book five out of five stars even though it was designed for new agers & the Angel folks. It can be a terrific aid for those who're practicing Ceremonial & Ritual Magic or who want to create their own protective Thralls.

The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters,

This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
I believe everyone is born is a gift, and Susan Gregg has found hers and
shares it with humanity. Her book shows she has done extensive research with each of the 200 Celestial Beings--from different cultures, traditions, and beliefs. She has outlined their ways to assist you, including an invocation, and shares the background of each these wonderful beings of light. Included are some beautiful watercolored drawings of the various angels, saints and ascended masters. Through Susan's book, I was introduced to new wisdom, the gifts, love, and endless compassion that these Beings have to offer. This is a beautiful gift to purchase for yourself, a friend or loved one.

Brief introduction to Celestial Beings,
By Lily Bhattacharya "Govinda guidance" (Encinitas, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life (Paperback)
I bought this book thinking it would be more in depth. She does have a good amount of information. 17 archangels, 30 angels, 24 saints, 40 Ascended Masters, 84 Gods are discussed. What I am finding, the more I read on this topic, is that information is different depending on who you ask. There is no hard and fast rule. I associated the archangels with different colors than she mentioned here, due to D. Virtue PhD's work. I now believe all perspectives are valid and a combination of a person's prior lives, intuition and experiences.
I love the illustrations and I have an Indigo niece who could use this book as an introduction to the divine. I have several critiques for Ms. Gregg. Krishna is a God, not Goddess. This is a typographical error, in the main book, she refers to Krishna correctly. Secondly, Arthur and Merlin lived as there is proof in England of their lives. It escapes me at the moment. The other thing I should mention is I am a angel channeler/reader so I am able to "know" if someone is myth or not. My intuition repeatedly says these two men lived. All in all, I recommend this for a brief introduction, for more in depth information, read other authors.

Susan Gregg is an Angel of Aloha. She has compiled a masterful work. From its pages I am able to create a "S" (Spirit) Team to stand beside me and go before me, aiding me in all my endeavors. I only have to place my hand on the cover to feel the wisdom, love and power contained in its pages.
