I have enjoyed reading this wonderful book from cover to cover and refer to it often! This well organized book takes the reader through the history of postcards; provides valuable suggestions for beginning collectors; instructions for preservation, restoration, & framing; includes background information on artists A to Z; artfully displays 1100+ common to rare postcards; and includes a price guide, a glossary, and an extensive bibliography.

Susan Brown Nicholson's, "The Encyclopedia Of Antique Postcards" is a ~must have~ reference tool for all postcard collectors!

A lovely and interesting book although I was disappointed that it is not in color.

The book was received in the condition described. This book is just what we need, to use with our small post card collection. A lot of valuable information.

Yes, the illustrations are in black and white instead of color but IMHO, that is not so important as whether the book provides adequate information. It covers more than a 100 categories of postcards covering years from 1898 through 1918; various artists; brief history and samples of postcards. Susan Brown Nicholson chose to illustrate more than 1100 postcards; how to preserve, restore, frame, and sell postcards; and at the very end, sources to collect more postcards and information from.

I was very happy with the delivery time, the way in which it was packaged, and the condition of the used book was very good-in fact, so good that I was glad I took a chance on buying a used copy instead of new.

I have found this book very helpful with the history of vintage postcards. I am a collector and this has been an excellent resource guide.
