Jason Harris doesn't sound much like a 10-year-old sleuth, but he has enough youthful energy that it doesn't matter. In each of the brief stories, the young detective is faced with a variety of thefts, missing objects, and even a kidnapping. The listener is given all the clues needed to solve the mystery before it is revealed. In the print version of these books, the solution to each mystery is provided in an appendix. On the CD production, the solutions are included after each story, making it difficult for inquisitive listeners to test their wits against Encyclopedia's. My son is 6 and has read all of the Encyclopedia Brown books...he loves to listen to his radio while falling asleep so this was a perfect find. A handful of classic cases, well read and very interesting!
