This book is very helpful, especially if you are thinking about getting a cat or
understanding the one you have, good to know if your breed of cat is good with
children or your lifestyle.

Good index for looking up a cat breeds. (My cat adopted me several years
ago when she was abandoned) and I was able to identify her as a
Norwegian forest Cat and described her perfectly in looks as well as temperment.Also a section on non pedigree Cats.

Describes a Cat's life,instincts,cat phychology,Cats enjoy a routine,kitten Care,
grooming, the indoor cat,your breeds temperment, Useful addresses
such as Cat Fancy Organizations,Animal Welfare org,Advice services,CAt Museums,
Sheltering and Rehoming.

Stunning photos of Cats..and very interesting reading.

Big book that seems like a hardcover,but actually a big softcover,lots of Color photos, Information On Mannerisms, Behavior, Mostly Domestic Cats are Covered, All Breeds, Some info on big cat,here there. Features Cat Such As My Favorite: The Birmans, also Persians,Tabby,Maine Coots, so many Cats.
Great resourceful book for any cat lover.

I appreciated the beautiful pictures & illustrations not only of the different breeds, but pictures of cats in their environments & their displays of behaviors. The information on the anatomy of a cat has been very useful in my caring for two cats that I have adopted. It's a perfect compliment to another publication on cats that I recently purchased. The encyclopedia has been very useful in helping me raise my cats.
