If you have even cursory experience with piano and guitar, and are trying to improve your skills in one of them, you absolutely need this book. I've played piano in the past (including significant time in grade school) and have recently been trying to pick up the guitar. I know many chords on the piano but have no idea how to play them on the guitar. This book is a visual guide to this transition: look up your piano chords, see your hand position on the keys, then the corresponding position on the guitar neck, fully annotated and complete with alternate positions. The book also includes progressions, movable chords, and alternate chord names in the back.

I'm extremely pleased with this book, and have already recommended it to friends who know both instruments. If you're one of these people, treat yourself to a great reference.

A great chord presentation. It is wonderful being able to see chords on the guitar and keyboards side by side. Great for someone learning or playing both guitar and keyboard/piano.

On some sheet music you come across a group of notes that is obviously a chord that is not identified with it's normal "name" above it. (Aaarrrgg) This boook shows you the chord as a stack of notes as well so it a great reference book to look up those chords. A real plus! I've come across this on some finger style sheet music.

I love this book. I use it all the time to find and learn the different chords. I recommend it to all my music playing friends and I just purchased one for my grandson who is just starting to learn to play the keyboard. A great must have book.
