2.0 out of 5 stars Not What It Seems
This book is a great book on classic cars....unless you are actually interested in American classic cars. The book review never mentions that 80% of the material is on the foreign exotic car market. On top of that, the book deceives you by showing 5 out of the six cars on the cover as American. There is only one section that covers all Ford cars from 1920-1936. For anyone...

For anyone who knows Fords, a lot went on during this time. However, in a span of about 10 years, there are 15 entries for Ferrari. On top of this, this book considers cars like the Ford Taurus and the Chevy Cavalier as classics!!!??? If you are looking at this book to show you a little bit about classic cars, I would say do not waste your time or money. There are many more books out there that will do a better job with more familiar cars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Overview, July 1, 2002

This review is from: Encyclopedia of Classic Cars (Hardcover)
This book was a little disappointing. The editor takes liberities with his selections - they seem to reflect mostly what his idea of classics are. The descriptions are not very technical, and the photos are decent. A good book for a beginner enthusiast.
