5.0 out of 5 stars Encyclopedia of drawing techniques

Students can browse through picking, choosing , and combining techniques in order to better convey their visual message. Teachers can springboard from the ideas presented for original art projects. 2.0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly uninteresting drawing book...
As expected the book covers a very large spectrum of drawing techniques but in a relatively shallow way. I felt as if I had seen most of this material before in other books. Good only for those with little or no drawing experience who need a general overview of techniques.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful book to get ideas in techniques for your drawing, January 28, 2009

The title of the book explains what you can expect from it: an encyclopedia of techniques. There are lots of ideas of how to give a drawing a creative feel. There are brief explanations of how to get it too, so don't expect a detailed explanation.
I think that it's more useful to get a fresh start before starting a work and in the study of the approach to the final work.
