Book Description

July 1, 1995
In her fascinating new book, dream expert Rosemary Ellen Guiley unlocks the door to the surreal world of slumber to translate the language of our dreams. Dreamspeak interprets some of the most common dream symbols and meanings, with chapters on:
-- flying and falling
-- the body and its functions
-- clothing and nudity
-- sex, weddings, and marriage
-- money and valuables
-- celebrities and historical figures
-- animals
-- food
-- and much more

Dreamspeak also includes simple exercises to improve our ability to remember all-important dreams and fascinating anecdotes drawn from the author's own practice as a dream-work facilitator. This unique addition to the genre shows us how to enrich our lives by listening to what our dreams are trying to say.

It makes sense June 17, 2000

I've used this book several times to interpret dream images and it almost always gives me good answers. It doesn't delve into new age nonsense or into fortune telling like so many other books on the subject do. Instead it combines psychology and mythology in a way that makes dream images understandable and relatable. I only wish that the book was even more extensive.

I have perused many dream encyclopedias, but this is my favorite because it offers several possible interpretations for each dream symbol - you choose the one that best fits your dream and your life. Also, the interpretations are deeper and more spiritual than those found in many other books. This book was my main source of guidance in writing DREAM WEAVING: USING DREAM GUIDANCE TO CREATE LIFE'S TAPESTRY.

Great for Dream Insight August 18, 2009
I love this book. I have had it for years and I always find myself turning to it. And now even have friends who have bought it after I used it to help interpret their dreams with it. It's uncanny how close it really is if done right. It has helped me nderstand hard times in my life and se things about myself I never knew. Even to the point where I was better able to understand things about others. One of my many favorite books.
