This one-volume encyclopedia presents very up-to-date information on modern electronics in over 3000 clearly written and well-illustrated articles. There is an extensive system of cross-referencing, and a subject index groups topics into broad subcategories for systematic reading. This is in addition to the more conventional index for quick reference. Particularly noteworthy is the level of presentation: although the book is part of the publisher's professional reference series, the level is definitely somewhat below that of the professional scientist or engineer.
