Originally published in four volumes this 1995 reprint combines Volumes 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 into two bound volumes. Volume 1 & 2 contains entries A-K. Volume 3 & 4 contains entries L-Z and the index to all four volumes.
The Encyclopedia of the Holocaust was originally published in 1990, in tandem Hebrew and English editions, by Yad Vashem, with the "Israeli Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes Remembrance Authority" in Jerusalem
Included in the Encyclopedia: hundreds of entries, with illustrations, maps, and bibliographic references for further reading. Includes a Glossary of Terms and index.
The Encyclopedia was the winner of the 1990 American Library Association's Dartmouth Medal.

Too many errors and ommissions for an "encyclopedia",

It's hard to believe that so many words could be published on this subject under the guise of an "encylopedia" - yet omit facts and historical data that are essential to the story. Accuracy and thoroughness is essential when writing about the Holocaust - or any historical event. Otherwise the writing because fodder for those that deny it ever happened. I would not rely on this for research. But, it's not bad reading - if you keep that in mind.
