For anyone who has a treasured place in their library for the original 4-volume set, this supplement provides a cogent update that maintains the high standards, impeccable scholarship and sheer brilliance of the series. Some articles are like small books in themselves. A masterful study.

I bought this supplement because it was an opportunity to increase my collection of dictionaries of philosophy (I think about 500 volumes...). In this case, I did complete the old and good MacMillan's.
