Practical and Inspiring,
By Anne Mercer (Powell River, British Columbia Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Encyclopedia of Roses: An Organic Guide to Growing and Enjoying America's Favorite Flower (Hardcover)
This book offers more than the usual information about individual roses. There are seven garden designs which are invaluable as guidelines for both experienced and novice rose gardeners. The information is very detailed about the habits and disease resistance of each of the roses listed, and the author goes one step further to suggest landscape uses for each cultivar and attractive companion plants. Probably the best rose book to come along in this decade!
