A Fantastic Album With Original Songwriting,
This review is from: End Is Begun (W/Dvd) (Spec) (Dig) (Audio CD)
I was mad that this album only had three reviews. (No pun intended) I have to put in a good word for these guys. Yes, there live performances are very very cool. But that does not take anything away from this album. This for me, is one of those albums where the songs stick in your memory. Each song has a much different feeling than the next. You can feel a lot of emotion and musicianship in these tracks. Also I don't think that this is a metal album at all. There's really nothing heavy in it. If you're thinking of getting this, do it, you won't regret!

I saw 3 perform in Atlanta on the Progressive Nation tour with BTBAM, Opeth, and Dream Theater. They stole the show for me. It was only a 30 minute set, but it blew my mind!
This album definitely captures the intensity and uniqueness that I saw on stage. Every song on this album is good. Highly suggest it for the prog/metal fan looking for something new.

This disk is good, but if you have a chance to see these guys live, you have got to go. Joey the lead singer is an amazing singer and guitarist.

Progressively melodic metal can't quite get past sounding like Coheed and Cambria's older brother to really matter.

The first time I heard of 3 was on the Dream Theatre tour in 2008. They opened up for Opeth and Dream Theatre, man were they great. This is a very diverse CD, great vocals, excellent arrangements and a nice new sound. This is not heavy like Dream Theatre but very interesting to listen to. I had surprisingly not heard of this band and wondered why, I would recommend a listen and make sure to catch them live... you will not be disappointed.

Three's The End Is Begun is Joey Eppard's masterpiece. Over the years, Three's sound has evolved from Sophisticated Pop to Progressive Metal/Rock. This is a solid recording, absolutely no filler or preservatives. This is a must own for every true progressive rock fan. I originally bought this in 2007, but they re-issued it Feb. 2008 with a bonus disc. I haven't received it yet so you'll have to wait for my updated review.
