I received the paste yesterday and was deeply disappointed when I saw list of ingredients. Sure, there are good herbal (and other) ingredients in there, but there are also:
sodium lauryl sulfate sorbitol sodium monofluorophosphate 2-bromo,2-nitropropane,1,3-diol mehtylparaben sodimsaccharin aroma (what is that?) I know some of these I explicitly avoid in anything I use (inside or out). Plenty of people (myself included) don't use fluoride, as it's contraversial, but here it is. Parabens, SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) and saccharin are explicitly excluded from Trade Joe's all natural paste I buy. I am not qualified to speak about merits of these ingredients, but make sure you do your own research if you feel comfortable with them.

I tried this as a last resort after having to schedule surgery for receeding and infected gums. Afer one week the swelling was down and my gums were healing. It really worked. I have used it for 3 weeks now and so far my gums are getting back to normal. I cancelled the surgery for now and I intend to use this product as part of my regular dental routine. My gums may never grow back to where they were when I was young, but they are now pink and healthy.

I bought this product and used it for about 6 weeks. It did seem to help my reddened gums somewhat, but not enough to make me want to buy the stuff again. I felt I had to offer a more balanced review than these silly, obviously paid 5-star reviews. Folks, reviews with language like, "I was skeptical" and "a miracle" are invariably fake. Companies pay people to publish good reviews and drive up sales. Trust me when I say that most of the high reviews here are in fact fake, fake, fake.
That said, I don't think this is a terrible product, but it's not going to cure your bad gum disease. It might help, but at much too high a price for what you get. If this were $10 I'd say go for it.
