5.0 out of 5 stars Once I got into this novel, I had trouble putting it down., December 16, 2009

Prince John-Mark is the youngest son of the ruler of the Galactic Human Empire. In order to preserve peace and provide for his own future, he sets in motion a plan to unite several worlds under his protection. The key to his plan is to marry Lady Lyral of Neuterra. But John-Mark's older brother has another agenda. Murder and vows of revenge put the empire on the brink of chaos. A thousand spaceships swarm into action, with everything at stake.

L. D. Alford is a master universe creator and storyteller. If you read The End of Honor, you'll want to read the entire series.

5.0 out of 5 stars rattling of the intragalactic sabers, January 16, 2009
This review is from: The End of Honor (Paperback)
If you think you've had a bad day, check out the heavy-duty woes of Prince John-Mark in THE END OF HONOR, Book One in The Chronicles of the Dragon and the Fox. This novel has something for everyone. Sci-Fi fans will embrace the plight of the Human Galactic Empire and their ensuing battles that are replete with Imperial battleships, electronic jamming countermeasures, ecliptic intrasystems, and a royal family with classic power struggles. Who is The Fox? Will he be victorious over evil?

Princess Lyral captures the reader's attention in the first two sentences of the book. Those of us who need a touch of romance in a good read will not be disappointed as the Princess and John-Mark's ill-fated love draw you into their world.

Mr. Alford's creativity is limitless, and, as the last page of END OF HONOR is turned, his readers will quickly be online ordering the next novel in this fascinating adventure series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Futuristic Action Adventure Story, December 17, 2008
By
This review is from: The End of Honor (Paperback)
Mr. Alford has created a galaxy in which noble humans (originally from the Planet Terra) have ruled for 3000 years. That is about to end. And the treachery comes from inside the Nobility itself. Prince John-Mark discovers that his father, the Emperor, and his beloved wife-to-be are both dead. These evil deeds sunder the Empire and lead to all out war. John-Mark and his brave followers are ready to avenge the dead and retake the Empire but they stand against an army three times their size! Who will prevail and what further sacrifices will John-Mark be forced to make to ensure the peace and healing of the Empire? Readers who enjoy the futuristic action of Star Wars will not be disappointed, nor will those who prefer the chivalrous nobility of Arthurian knights. The story is told from an unusual viewpoint which adds to the depth of this multi-layered action adventure story. Readers of all ages will be clamoring for more!
