My favorite story of all times!, May 17, 2011
I watched this movie on TV when I was just a young girl (around 7 years old). Since then I had been searching for it and couldn't remember the name of it. I am so happy to have found this movie again; it is such an inspiring movie that we can all relate to!

A Downward Spiral and the Journey Back..., March 1, 2009
This review is from: The End of Innocence (DVD)
In this film - one that I saw a few times many years ago - we follow the personal struggles and eventual triumph of a young woman addicted to pills and bad relationships.
Stephanie - played so beautifully by Dyan Cannon - is the only child of older, doting parents. Overly invested in her life and decisions, they ultimately smother her emotionally, leading her to choose the only escapes she can find.
In this fascinating portrayal of the downward spiral and descent to the bottom, we also are gifted with the gradual and slow recovery process, complete with humor as well as pain.
Not a great movie,
The End of Innocence is, however, intriguing to watch - especially to those who have made similar choices and moved on, or to professionals who work with recovering addicts.
