Great introduction to System Syn,
This review is from: End (Audio CD)
END is my first introduction to System Syn, Imperative Reaction's Clint Carney's other band. The other night when I was suffering from insomnia, I went online and was checking out some music on one of the social networking sites I am a member of. I decided to check out System Syn since I love Imperative Reaction so much. The song that got my complete, undivided attention was "Blood". I was drawn to the beautiful lyrics and Clint's plaintive vocals. I knew right then and there I had to get the album "Blood" was on which is END.
It would be too predictable for me to compare System Syn with Imperative Reaction. Ted Phelps of IR even mastered this album. The crisp synthesized electro beats is reminiscent of IR but System Syn retains their own sound thanks to Clint's distinct vocals which sounds a bit like Ronan Harris of VNV Nation. System Syn's brand of EBM is addicting to say the very least. The production by Clint is perfect. I can understand his vocals clearly, and the music is crisp yet never overproduced. I enjoyed every single song on the album. There wasn't one track I didn't like.

This review is from: End (Audio CD)
It took me a while to listen to this album due to I didn't like enough their previous album 'The Mourning Ritual', after a couple of times listening the album, I felt caught by the track 'Broken Finger' and other tracks, and since then I've kept this album.
I think this is solid FuturePop/EBM record with a good quality production, fans of VNV Nation and Covenant will like this album for sure.
