The website of the NYS Office of Professional Medical Conduct begins its report of the Charles Gant case by listing a series of charges brought against him in highly inflammatory and misleading language. Only if you really like reading long text on computer screens would you ever get to the part where it is revealed that the charges relating to the quality of his medical care have been overturned by a OPMC hearing panel. In fact, the hearing panel upheld Dr. Gant's methodology, which relies heavily on using nutritional supplements to treat many conditions by rebalancing biochemistry, most notably, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD) in children. Further, they found that, contrary to the charges, Dr. Gant had done no harm to any of his patients:

"The committee unanimously agreed that the Respondent's license should not be revoked. The record in this case established Respondent was not incompetent nor did his conduct amount to gross negligence. Nor did they find that his diagnostic or testing practices were an attempt to reap excessive financial gain. He was well versed in his type of practice and was not trying to take advantage of his patients. In mitigation of the findings of fraud, the committee notes that the use of erroneous codes was not done for the Respondent's financial benefit since his practice was one of fee for service."

Thanks to following the program for my specific issues, I am now completely off of precription anxiety medicine, not drinking and losing weight. I sleep better, think clearer, have more energy and enjoy life at a level far better than I could ever have imagined.

Of course the medical and psychology field will try and debunk him for his groundbreaking work. Once you read this, you'll realize how simple and logical it is, and also how threatening it is to the money hungry professionals.

I've dealt with drug and sugar addictions, all my life. I've tried several conventional programs with no success. After only two days taking amino acids, I feel more in control of my life, and my decisions than I have for the past 20+ years.

Charles Gant has solid research, and he understands and knows what he is talking about. He explains it in layman terms so it's easy to comprehend. I strongly recommend reading this book; it's changed my life.

This book clearly documents how nutritional imbalances contribute to addictive substance use, and how nutritional treatment can help safely and effectively resolve problems with addictions. The author also points out how prescribed psychoactive medications are also addictive substances that aggravate underlying nutritional deficiencies. This book is a great contribution to the field of orthomolecular medicine and natural substance abuse treatment. Unfortunately, health care insurance, which insures income for doctors and pharmaceutical business interests rather than your health, does not cover nutritional healing interventions. Those seeking true health must make a personal commitment of resources and willingness to make lifestyle changes rather than expecting a pill or a professional to magically take their problems away.

Dr. Gant's insights from extensive experience in addiction treatment and the nutritional biochemistry of the Brain are far reaching but profoundly simple.... Give the brain the nutrients it needs and it naturally move towards health and wellness. Great book. Well worth the read. Though I don't agree with everything he has to say his basic thought process is excellent and it will start you on the path of finding the true healing of addictions of any kind.... through individualized nutrition programs.

This book helped me to prepare to quit using drugs and helped me to realize,in a drug induced state, that I in fact had a choice in the matter and no longer needed to be enslaved. I am drug free since January 3rd, 2006, because of this book and the supplements I took. I no longer take the supplements and am still recovering from 8 painful years of substance abuse.

I am the webowner of Mental Health Today. I have always been an advocate of nutrition and I was greatly impressed with Dr. Gant's book. I feel that he provides us with some excellent and very helpful information.

The biggest issue I can think of is for those people who have "more expensive" habits such as non-prescription opiates, methamphetamines, etc. Nutritional supplements are quite expensive unfortunately and many of us who don't have drug habits are unable to afford sizeable amounts of these supplements.

What's needed here are a few testimonials. Here's one for you. My son had been sleeping it off for a week and was totally in a fog. I fixed him a homemade orange julius, opened the capsules and slipped in Dr Gant's recommended nutrients, and walla... You never saw anyone come alive faster -in 3 minutes!! Here's the proof that it works: My son came so alive so fast that he insisted i tell him what I had put in his orange drink. He knew 'something' had worked!!

Book was good. Took a while to get here. But I do believe there was some kind of storm that slowed the process
