5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, pretty and melodic September 27, 2012
By DAG
Format:Audio CD
Been a fan of Dum Dum Girls for a few years. Sometimes bands just churn out dreck to get something out there. Obviously this isn't the case with DDG. I got hooked by DDG with their rocking burner songs on I Will Be. "I Got Nothing" sounds like something from that era. "Mine Tonight" is a really sweet, dreamy, pretty song. Also really like "Lord Knows", a slower song that shines nonetheless. Defintely worth checking out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome October 7, 2012
By Dave
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Dum Dum Girls are an amazing blend of retro Phil Spector wall of sound with alternative. They site bands ranging from the Ronettes to the Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Cure, Mazzy Star and the Jesus and Mary Chain as major influences. I was blown away by their Only in Dreams album when I first heard it last year and this 5 song EP is a great follow up. Stylistically, there's a better range of tempo on this EP giving the drummer a chance to break the monotony a bit and giving them a slightly more "mature" sound. Dee Dee's amazing voice is on display on all the tunes, she's the best singer in rock as far as I'm concerned. Give it a listen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dream Pop du jour April 3, 2013
Format:Vinyl|Amazon Verified Purchase
Dum Dum Girls always sound to be in that dream state or influenced state if you will. Their songs have gotten better in their short life. Their musi is the sort you listen to alone or if you're trying to make time with that special hipster in your life.
Key Tracks: Mine Tonight, Lord Knows, Season in Hell.
Vinyl Result: On the wax this EP sounds timeless

4.0 out of 5 stars End of Daze is solid November 2, 2012
By PiyozR
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Dum Dum Girls's new EP delivers! They manage to maintain their unique sound that we've come to love, while creating some new and wonderful tracks. "Mine Tonight" is reminiscent of their album "Only in Dreams", and it a great way to open this new EP. "I Got Nothing" really hits home with some fantastic lyrics. "Trees and Flowers" is the slow-dance of the prom, establishing an awesome atmosphere that the Dum Dum Girls are so skilled at doing. "Lord Knows" works much the same way. Just classic Dum Dums. "Season in Hell" is a great finish to this EP. This track picks up with more pep and determination and ends with the lyrics "It's the End of Daze."

1.0 out of 5 stars very bad recording May 5, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I like the Dum Dum Girls, but this is by far the WORST audio recording I've ever heard. I don't know if I got a bad CD, or the audio engineer was an imbecile and everyone was too drunk or doped up to listen to the result, but it sounds so bad it is UNLISTENABLE. If you like these songs, listen to them on YouTube; the audio quality is FAR BETTER. The first 2 Dum Dum Girls CDs were fine, but there is something wrong with this one (End of Daze). Wish I could get my $$ back, including shipping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Addicted February 12, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
Slightly different sound the Girls are exploring on End Of Daze. I Got Nothing and Season in Hell are familiar in style but the other songs are a nice change of pace. Love the punk/dreamy influences of their older sound, but I can not stop listening to this EP!! I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Growth and maturity January 31, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
Though I love the old, playful, casual Dum Dum Girls style, this new sound proves they are willing to take risks. Expressive and dense, this short album is the best of 2012.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album
If you like Girl in a Coma, you'll love this. They have an alternative, surf rock kind of sound. Very west coast, in my opinion. Take a listen and enjoy.
