5.0 out of 5 stars Few books can enter your mind like Ender's Game can.
There is only one series of books in this world that I can truthfully say I have read over one-hundred times. There is only one series of books that give me something new every time I read them. I had recently decided to reread the Ender Series, but I wanted to listen to it, since it takes me so long to read now that I am so busy. But I have lots of time in the car....So I purchased these audio tapes. What upset me was that these works are abridged. They are the not the whole story. 5.0 out of 5 stars Few books can enter your mind like Ender's Game can., July 28, 2000
This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
There is only one series of books in this world that I can truthfully say I have read over one-hundred times. There is only one series of books that give me something new every time I read them. Ender's Game and the books that follow and coincide with it are truly specialin their ability to tell a story that reflects human emotion so vividly that you find yourself invested deeply. I've looked through Ender's eyes as he prevailed through all that was thrown at him. I've cried when he was bent and twisted to the will of his trainers. I've felt for his sister when she realized that Ender had truly lost something of what he used to be. Then finally, I became both angry and relieved when in the end, there was victory yet a victory that Ender couldn't walk away from... it would forever be a haunting vision deep in his mind. I pitied him, as if he were a dear friend. For to me, he was. Mr. Card. You've made me love a child, and a man, I've never met and know to never have existed, but whom I would lay my life down for. Thank you.

The best SF book iv'e ever read after "Battle Field Earth" (L.Ron.Hubberd) you grow up with Ender Wiggin - You think alike and you allways have that feeling of a missed childhood for poor Ender - The Saviour of the world

5.0 out of 5 stars A very intelligent Scifi novel, December 14, 1998
This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
I always enjoy finding new scifi/fantasy novels for me to explore. Card's saga of Ender Wiggin was one of the first since Tolkeins' "Trilogy" and Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia" to intrigue and completely engulf me. I honestly still think of these characters and how much they seem to have interpreted my own life. Card developed their personalities and spirits uniquely and intricately. A very intelligent scifi novel.

I had recently decided to reread the Ender Series, but I wanted to listen to it, since it takes me so long to read now that I am so busy. But I have lots of time in the car....So I purchased these audio tapes. What upset me was that these works are abridged. They are the not the whole story. I searched for better ones that had the whole book, but I couldn't find any anywhere. So if you don't mind hearing the abridged version, these are good. But I didn't like it very much, even though it made me remember the parts I had read more vividly. The Ender series is wonderful and well done, but the tapes aren't all that they appear to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars The multicultural aspect of Ender's Game was refreshing., February 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
Ender's Game was a gripping and thoughtful Sci-Fi book. I loved the way Card introduced various cultures through the children. It was a bit disconcerting however to have the old "red scare" sentiment reflected in what was basically a positive multicultral view of the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars The book is hard to follow., November 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
Ender`s Game is hard to follow. It has many characters so it is hard to keep track of who they are and what they do. It has many things that may happen in the future. It has aliens called buggers and they attack the Earth twice and we beat them luckily. I think the book should have more action with the battles in space . I think if you like science fiction you should like this book well.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most important sci-fi series ever written., October 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
Orson Scott Card's writing is unmached in this series. Not only is the science gripping, but the sorrow you feel for Ender is unnerving.

The best and truest sci-fi I have ever read!

This review is from: The Ender Wiggin Saga: Ender's Game / Speaker for the Dead / Xenocide (Audio Cassette)
Lot's of people think you should stop after you've read the first one, Do not the second and third ones are much better if you like what is a bit philosophical. They are the best books I've read for a long time. I would advise these 3 wonderful books to everybody.
