Editorial Reviews

Schenker/Pattison Summit is a melding of musical super powers. For the ultimate rhythm section, they enlisted help from one of rock's most well known drummers, Aynsley Dunbar (UFO, Journey, Starship, Whitesnake) as well as world renowned bassist Tim Bogert (Jeff Beck, Cactus). Aptly titled "The Endless Jam Continues," this CD picks up where the first CD left off and surpasses it, containing extended versions of rock classics such as "Layla" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" which feature some of the greatest guitar solos of Schenker's stellar career. Seldom does an album come together with some of the greatest talents in rock history that surpasses the great expectations such a union conjures in the minds of their loyal fans. "The Endless Jam Continues" is such a record.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even Better Than The First "The Endless Jam"!, April 13, 2005

This review is from: Endless Jam Continues (Audio CD)
"The Endless Jam Continues" is even better than the first "The Endless Jam" released in 2004. Michael Schenker's guitar playing on these classic rock songs is awesome, he truely is one of rock's best (and underrated) guitarists. Again you've got Davey Pattison on vocals (known for his work in Robin Trower's band), Aynsley Dunbar on drums (he's been with just about everybody), and surprise, Tim Bogert (of Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and Beck-Bogert & Appice) on bass guitar. They do great covers of Bad Company's "Rock Steady", The Beatles "While My Guitar Gentley Weeps", Robin Trower's "Too Rolling Stoned", Derek & The Domino's "Laya", Rod Stewart's "I'm Losing You", Free's "The Hunter", Cream's "Badge", Humble Pie's "I Don't Need No Doctor", Traffic's "Dear Mr. Fantasy", Savoy Brown's "Wang Dang Doodle" and Ten Years After's "I'd Love To Change The World". If you liked the first "The Endless Jam" you'll like this even better. Crank It Up And Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Splendid Schenker, April 22, 2005
This review is from: Endless Jam Continues (Audio CD)
This is a great album. Much better produced then the previous one. And you will get loads of that typical Schenker sound. What a great guitarplayer he is. The outro solo on "While my guitar gently weeps" makes the purchase worthwhile by itself.

The vocals by Pattison and the backing section is also great. But my God what a guitar player Schenker is. One of a kind!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for what it is, July 17, 2005
This review is from: Endless Jam Continues (Audio CD)
I agree with other reviewers that this is nothing new, but I must say this is a very well done tribute to some great bands and great songs. Bogert and Dunbar do a fine job laying down a Rock solid bottom and the vocals by Pattison are very well done. Kevin Curry deserves a lot of credit for his Guitar work on this project, he provides a polished canvas for Schneker's fancy fretwork.
It Rocks.
